He Delights In You || #AllThingsLovely

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Delight – please greatly, great pleasure

I delight in you, my child. My love for you is constant and everlasting. I rejoice over you as you rejoice in Me. When you feel far away, I am close. When you feel lonely, I am here. When you feel unloved, I am loving. All that you are lacking, I am.

This is what is so great about our Father: He is all that we are not and we are, only because He is.

How cool is it that our God takes delight in us? He created us and He dwells in us. Instead of creating and disappearing, He has created and lasted. He isn’t a distant God. He is always near.

The relationship is a reciprocating relationship. Just as He delights in us, He wants us to delight in Him. As we sing to Him, He sings with joy over us. As we speak to Him, He responds to us. We must remember to do our part in this relationship, never forgetting to delight in our Father, for He created us and He guides us daily.

“Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24

Take Away: God delights in you! It doesn’t matter what you have done, He is always near and always waiting for you to reciprocate in His delight. He never lets go. He is for you and He rejoices over you.
